Six of our volunteers were honoured at the Ontario volunteer service awards on April 23rd. The award ceremony included recognition from The Honourable Laura Albanese, Ontario Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
Our volunteers honoured include, Paul Laver, Mary Mick, Noella Story, Pat Woodford, Harry Hall, and Tom Wilson. They have spent a good deal of their lives working to protect and conserve the world around them. They pull invasive species, lead hikes, speak to the public about our work and give their time to work in the wind, snow, rain and sun.
Together these people have provided countless hours of work and more than 85 years of service!
We can not thank or congratulate these people enough. They have made a huge contribution to the world around them, and the region is certainly a better place simply for having them here.
Paul, Mary, Noella, Pat, Harry and Tom, The Conservancy is eternally grateful for your tireless contributions to our conservation efforts. Congratulations on your well deserved recognition.
