Adams Nature Reserve Unveiled

In News by couchiching

Over 30 people joined us on a cool and rainy day to celebrate the Adams Nature Reserve, a 107 acre property donated by Alec and Heather Adams and finalized December 2017. Surrounded by friends and Conservancy supporters, Doug Christie, President of the Board of Directors thanked Alec and Heather for their gift to protect nature. Tanya Clark, Development Coordinator, thanked the couple as well for their generosity and shared with the group the story of how they originally found the property by chance, when they were driving in the area and stopped at the cottage to ask for directions. What a great thing to celebrate over 40 years later that began as asking for directions!

Alec and Heather shared their stories of taking care of the land over the years and their pride in knowing it will be protected forever.

People are welcome to visit the property, and there are some marked trails up to the beaver pond. The address is 1900 Cooper’s Falls Rd. If you have questions about this property, please call the office at 705-326-1620.

Thank you so much to Alec and Heather for this incredible gift that will now be shared with the community.
