Visit this Nature Reserve:

Located just west of Washago, the Robert and Emily Fawcett Natural Area was donated to the Nature Conservancy of Canada in 1991 by Catherine E Ferry and Harold H. Fawcett. Ownership of this parcel was transferred to The Couchiching Conservancy in 2013. It is immediately adjacent to the Trent-Severn Waterway, and is a good example of southern Shield habitats.

Best time to visit: year-round, but can be buggy in late spring

Location:
Hwy 11 North to Anchor Drive/Agner Road exit; left over Hwy 11 to Fawcett Drive; turn north for 1 km to Severn River and park near the bridge (don’t block roadway or park on lawns). Walk along access road beside the Canal and look for Conservancy sign. Best access into property is on the ridge, about 500 m further along.
