The long wait is over and it’s finally here! Our extremely successful Passport to Nature and it’s coveted booklet can be found online and around town. With the array of events we have booked this year, it is no wonder there is such a rush to get registered!
Starting in April and running through February 2018, there are seventeen guided events to take part in. Yoga in the Woods, Astronomy, a Shoreline Exploration and a Family Fun Fest are just a few. This program is perfect if you want to learn about the properties The Couchiching Conservancy helps to protect and about birds and wildlife of our region.
All events are free to attend thanks to local businesses who are dedicated to protecting nature and ensuring our community is healthy. So don’t forget to say ‘thanks’ the next time you visit one of these great businesses.
All you have to do is register, as space is limited.
We hope that you can join us at one of the events!

Be a part of the Walk Wylie, and learn about one of the key areas we work to protect.
This event is open to all ages, young and old – you don’t have to be a birder to take part either. All knowledge levels are welcome! We’ll have some resources available to you to help you learn about the many, many birds that rely on the alvar.
The goal of Walk Wylie is simple:
Raise funds to support the stewardship of Carden’s alvar and habitats by walking on Wylie Rd and challenging yourself to learn about this globally rare area and the species that rely on it.
Lunch is provided by Fowler’s Construction to all participants who register in advance.
