Another Staff Feature! Meet Toby Rowland, our Citizen Science Field Coordinator.

"For me, I never questioned working in the environmental field. I have always been interested in wildlife and animals, and once I realized you could work outside finding and helping them along the way, my decision made. I was drawn to The Couchiching Conservancy because I believe that one of the most important things we can do is protect the spaces we have left for the other species that rely on them. I also enjoy the fact that I can spend my time helping with so many different monitoring projects from birds to bats, amphibians, reptiles and more!

One of the main things I love to do is to take photos of wildlife. I have taken a nature photo a day for the last 4 years. This gets me outside every single day of the year to appreciate whatever I can find that day, wherever I happen to be. While out for my nature photo a day I am also birding and looking for other wildlife, submitting records to relevant places as I go. "
