Thank you for your quick action! We now have the required gadgets to expand our Bat Monitoring Program

Community science team

Do you have an old iPad, or iPhone, you no longer need? If you’re looking for a good home for it we can provide one!

We’re in search of an iPad or iPhone (see chart below for which ones will be compatible) to help us with our Bat Monitoring Program. For Bat Monitoring we use a specialized microphone bat detector that plugs into an iPad/iPhone. Currently we have a second mic, but nothing to plug it into. Bat Monitoring is one of our newer programs and is expanding our knowledge of the bats we have on our Nature Reserves. So far we’ve been able to detect 7 out of the 8 bats we would expect in the region, 3 of which are endangered species.

If you have an iPad or iPhone that matches the description below please contact Toby at, [email protected]
